I met Kurt Whiteman in first grade. Kurt was the toughest kid in our grade but never a bully. Kurt was blessed wth brains and brawn. A multi sport athlete in high school and college football player who went on to become an orthopedic surgeon. I had the opportunity to talk to Kurt’s parents after his passing. He and his brother Blake had returned from a skiing trip and Kurt had a headache that turned out to be a brain tumor. I worked for Jeff Weintraub shortly after our 30 year reunion. Jeff told me that he named his son after Kurt. Kurt left a good impression on people. RIP Kurt
