I worked with Gordon at the Glass Door as bus boys. We would go tearing around after work in his Capri. What a fun car. I bought a Capri senior year for myself. Gordon thanks for introducing me to such a fun car to drive I’ll always remember you for that, RIP GOOD BUDDY
Gordy had a brown Capri, and I like Mike, bought one after we graduated. GREAT car! I even owned two more after that. I remember him speeding (literally) all around Scottsdale in that baby! Rowing through the gears...and the exhaust note on that little V6..... I will never forget it!
Prior to Gordy getting his own car, he would drive his mother's 1960 Chrysler 300. It was kind of ugly at the time but was a real sleeper (375 hp "dual straights" and a push button automatic). What a perfect car for ripping around town causing trouble because it blended in well after hosing down someone with a water-filled fire extinguisher but could haul ass if someone gave chase. I can only imagine how many people swore at Gordy's mom as she drove through Scottsdale. So much fun.
