Bart and I would walk home together from Paiute after school. It was during his brief stint living in the Ciento Apartments in 68th and Osborn. My grandparents home was caddy corner at the stop light there. He would walk home and I would stop in to Grammas for a snack and to watch the late afternoon Wallace & Ladmo show or Mr. Rogers, then over to Bart’s to share and trade baseball cards, and play with Hot Wheels. Unfortunately after high school, I fell out of touch with almost everyone, to include Bart, and never knew him as a man. I attended his funeral and it was beyond obvious how he affected this world and ALL he knew! The memories I have of him are priceless, and I will never forget him.
